Carl Edwards won the Toyota / SaveMart 350(k) Sprint Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway for his 2nd win of 2014, his 1st win at Sonoma, his first road course win and his 23rd career win. Gordon finished 2nd followed by Earnhardt Jr., pole sitter McMurray, Menard, Kahne, Johnson, Ambrose, Biffle and Bowyer. AJ Allmendinger led the most laps with 35 of 110, but got involved in a wreck late in the race and finished 37th. Gordon (1 win) keeps the points lead after finishing 2nd and extends his points lead over Johnson to 20 points. Johnson leads the Chase Grid with three wins, 2nd in points. Earnhardt Jr. is second with 2 wins, 3rd in points. There were 11 lead changes among 9 drivers. There were 6 cautions for 19 yellow flag laps.
