Rainbow colors returns for Jeff Gordon

At long last, thanks to Axalta, Jeff Gordon's #24 Chevy will once again sport the iconic rainbow paint scheme. Tuesday on "CBS This Morning," Gordon broke the news, unveiling the Axalta Chevrolet SS in New York. Gordon will race the special Axalta car at Bristol Motor Speedway on Aug. 22.

Genesee Beer to be on No. 32 at Watkins Glen International

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Genesee Brewing Co. announced that it will be the primary sponsor for Go Green Racing's No. 32 Ford Fusion driven by racing legend Boris Said at Watkins Glen this August.

Genesee will sponsor the team for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Watkin's Glen on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Watkin's Glen International is one of only two road racing tracks in the country.

According to Matt Goldman, channel marketing manager for Genesee, the beer company is thrilled to be a primary sponsor at The Glen for the fourth consecutive year. "We're excited to bring Genesee back to the Glen with a racing legend like Boris Said. Genesee has enjoyed incredible popularity among NASCAR fans, so we welcome the chance to connect with them once again this summer. "

The No. 32 Ford Fusion's paint scheme reflects Genesee's new heritage-inspired packaging that recently rolled out across its family of products. The 137-year-old brewing company is New York State's oldest brewery. Its long history of quality beer holds a special place in the hearts of its passionate fans.

"Genesee fans bring such enthusiasm and fun to race weekend," said Boris. "We hope local fans will come out to cheer us on and watch us race. The new Genesee packaging inspired this year's paint and it's never looked better!"

Jimmie Johnson Foundation Golf Tournament raises an event record $900,000

The Jimmie Johnson Foundation announced that its annual Jimmie Johnson Foundation Golf Tournament and Dinner raised $900,000, an event record. "This is such a great event," said Johnson. "Chani and I are so thankful to everyone that supports us and to sponsors like Lowe's, that believe in supporting the vision of the Foundation. We are excited that the Foundation can continue funding projects that address critical needs in K-12 public schools." Johnson hosted more than 125 golfers at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California for Wednesday's golf tournament. The night before the tournament, the Johnsons hosted approximately 200 guests at a special dinner and auction, with live music from Darius Rucker at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. The tournament, which in nine years has raised more than $5.6 million, benefits the Champions Grants program, a partnership between the Jimmie Johnson Foundation and Lowe's Toolbox for Education. The grants range from $25,000-$100,000 and are distributed to K-12 public schools in Chandra and Jimmie Johnson's hometowns in California and Oklahoma, and where they currently reside in North Carolina.(JJF)

What Kyle Busch needs to do to make Chase

Heading into Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, Kyle Busch is 39th in points, 173 points behind 30th-place Justin Allgaier. If Allgaier keeps accumulating points at his current rate, he'll have roughly 435 points when the regular-season ends. That, in turn, means that to catch Allgaier, Busch will have to average a 12th-place finish in the next 11 races. Considering that in the four races Busch has run since returning from a compound fracture of the lower right leg and a midfoot fracture of the left foot, his average finish is 24.75, it's safe to say Busch has his work cut out for him.
